Again, this is strange, because now I'm able to directly connect again. Maybe this is resolved before we need to do something about it! :D

Something to try would be to find a (public) proxy that can make a connection to www.squeakvm.org http://www.squeakvm.org and use that

Odd that it's reachable from South America but not North America. :-)
It's reachable from the UK, too.
What kind of proxy is needed? Would just a shell account work?
