Hi Esteban, Hi volunteers, I somewhat like this structure: build.macos32x86/third-party: cairo libgit2 libsdl2 openssl pkgconfig freetype2 libpng libssh2 pixman build.macos64x64/third-party: cairo libgit2 libsdl2 openssl pkgconfig freetype2 libpng libssh2 pixman What's wrong currently is that e.g. build.macos*/pharo.cog.spur builds each library in its build subdirectories (build.macos*/pharo.cog.spur/{build,buildast,building}/third-party) and so there is duplication. Instead can we not organise it this way: Add build, buildast and builddbg directories to each of the third-party directories and cd there to do the builds? That way we build each library once only per production,assert or debug build, and not once per specific build. This way we can share e.g. the openssl library built from build.macos*/third-party/openssl between all of the builds (stack & cog x pharo,squeak,newspeak), which is 6 times less build effort. _,,,^..^,,,_ best, Eliot

The code is broken, so I jumped the gun again! Its more than I thought with PBE iv problems. I rolled the code out of the Cryptography repo until I can get it straight. The vm issue can use this package to reproduce: http://jmp.sh/GWcI9rB. I wanted to mention some problems I have been having with the vm. The comment is below. I have a Cog/Spur vm from cogspurwinn of 2 months ago, though that may be an odler copy. I was getting over 100 Mbps with AES but that dropped to 3 Mbps and the vm is crashing. I'll attach the logs. I am still trying to build a vm on windows but struggling with a -D param for version and building crypto plugins. added dataEncoder selection, serverSpec, tracing. See the Java/Squeak code-base at https://gitlab.com/des-lapins-internationale My vm started crashing during the performance test and the AESede rate dropped from 118 Mbps to 3 Mbps. I have no idea what's going on and I don't see the cryptoPlugins on this vm either, Will try to build cog.spur since months. mumkin netu 'araf? Hi, I wanted to review why squeak.cog.v3 fails since vmmaker.1959 https://ci.appveyor.com/project/OpenSmalltalk/vm/build/1.0.352 It's because generateObjectRepresentationTrampolines is generated conditionally if <option: #LowcodeVM> This sound erroneous since the option is tested further in the method. Please find a new VMMaker commit.
