Adding Function keys support to unix vm

Adding the foolowing lines in *translateCode* function in sqUnixX11.c: translateCode(KeySym symbolic, int *modp, XKeyEvent *evt) ... case XK_KP_Home: return 1; case XK_KP_End: return 4; + case XK_F1: return 16; + case XK_F2: return 17; + case XK_F3: return 18; + case XK_F4: return 19; + case XK_F5: return 20; + case XK_F6: return 21; + case XK_F7: return 22; + case XK_F8: return 23; + case XK_F9: return 24; + case XK_F10: return 25; what stops me to get F11 and F12 working is that they have the same keysyms thant XK_L1 and XK_L2 and they are handled too (but XK_L1 mapping is not working because withMetaSet does not set the modifier) :/. + /* XL_F11 and XK_L1 are the same keysym */ + /* XL_F12 and XK_L2 are the same keysym */ Does anyone know if those keycodes (16-27) are used? Unix X11 event handling little cleanup

Hi! I'm working on cog (the version I got from the git repository), playing to get support to the entire keyboard in the image (in Unix this time). I've realized that there is some deprecated/unused code with *#if 0* or commented code that is no longer used... So, I removed it from my sources, but I'd like someone to give them a look to see if they can be integrated. I attach the diff in the email. Thanks, Guille

linux cog vm and numeric keyboard

Hi, I have an application already installed on a client, and they called me to say that "numeric keyboard is now working"... they are using ubuntu 10.10 and, with the exception of my application, all the other applications are working fine. So, is not a problem of ubuntu keyboard configuration. Also... Guille looked at it and he says I'm not having a keypress event for those keys... I need to fix this more or less quick (because my customer is angry because of this... they use it a lot and I just assumed it will work, and as I work on a notebook, I couldn't notice the problem in time) any idea? X11 platform: why IncludeInferiors instead of ClipByChildren?

On X11, the GC for the squeak window is created with the subwindow_mode IncludeInferiors. This leads to different behavior with OpenGL rendering compared to other platforms (Windows, OS X). On these other platforms, the OpenGL subwindow completely occludes the squeak window, while on X11, squeak screen updates will overwrite OpenGL content. This makes it somewhat difficult to use OpenGL within a morphic environment, as the deferred display update of Display will destroy the graphics that have been drawn using OpenGL. I wonder whether Croquet/Cobalt uses a different mechanism to avoid this - but naive OpenGL morphs which just include glSwapBuffers as part of their drawOn: method only create flickering. where is FFIErrorCallFrameTooBig being signaled?

Hello, in my attempts to use OpenGL with the cog linux vm (4.0-2522, with or without mt) I get an error 'Call requires more than 16k of stack space' on a number of pretty innocent calls. I found where the constant for this error is defined (FFIErrorCallFrameTooBig) but I did not find where this error is being detected. I currently do not have a working VMBuilder environment, so I've been using the Monticello snapshot browser to look at the FFIPlugin sources in various VMMaker versions, but I could not find it anywhere. Can anybody point me to the right spot? Thanks, Hans-Martin
