Faster fibonacci

I've been involved in a long and sometimes weird discussion on the RaspberryPi forums about fibonacci implementations in different languages and using assorted algorithms. I'd never really thought about alternatives to recursive approaches before but it turns out there is massively faster way. ServerDirectory example login is dead

If one tries to add a remote directory to a FileList the example server details lists the no longer extant st.cs.uiuc.edu, which is a little disappointing. Do we have a good replacement? Preferably a good place on our own server(s)? I did actually try files.squeak.org but that a) failed b) exposed me to the great joy of a loop of unhandled error handling handling errors in erroneous handling. inescapable modal dialog in trunk

1. Make a method in a browser dirty. 2. Click on another method. Squeak displays, "Changes have not been saved, is it okay to cancel those changes?" 3. Click "No". 4. Now try click anywhere else or do anything else in other windows or the desktop. Every click anywhere causes the dialog to reappear until you say "Yes" or cancel the method changes.

Debugger Through slow

Hi all, take the following snippet, debug-it and press "Through": SqueakMessageCategoriesHelp asHelpTopic. For me, it makes the debugger hang really long time, as apparently the whole code execution is simulated, searching for the current context (#stepToHome:). "Over", in contrast, is faster by far, calling #completeStep: instead. Can we speed up "Through" in any way? As the button is explained as "Step into a block", we could call #completeStep: internally if the selected message does not contain a block argument, for example. Best, Christoph

Possible bug in PluggableTextMorph: Selection is reversed when rehovering text

Hi, I will quote the bug report from here <https://github.com/MrModder/Autocompletion/pull/25#issuecomment-513546349> : > - Open a workspace window, enter some text > - press shift+left once > - set the keyboard focus to another window > - bring focus back to the Workspace > - press shift+left once again > Instead of selecting two characters, zero characters will be selected The reason is in PluggableTextMorph>>#mouseEnter:, where the following is done: ...textMorph editor selectInterval: selectionInterval... As the selectionInterval is always positive, this operation destroys any editor state where pointIndex < markIndex. I just disabled this section in my image, and in a rush, I could not find out what is missing. What has been the purpose of this snippet? I also see this might be a debatable behavior: On the one hand, the user might be irritated when he is returning to a textmorph after a long time, trying to extend the selection with <shift>Arrow right but the selection is shrinked indead. On the other hand, I have activated the #mouseOverForKeyboardFocus setting (which is basically genius) and find it annoying that the selection behavior changes after repositioning your mouse. [Q][Squeak5.3a][ExternalPackage] FileList class>>#registerFileReader: has been deprecated --> How do I fix this?

Hello When loading an external package I get the following feedback FileList class>>#registerFileReader: has been deprecated. FileList is not responsible for file reader registration anymore. Use FileServices instead. When I click on 'debug' I get registeredFileReaderClasses self deprecated: 'FileList is not responsible for file reader registration anymore. Use FileServices instead.'. FileReaderRegistry := nil. "wipe it out" ^FileServices registeredFileReaderClasses How do I deal with this? Old code? New code? Regards Hannes
