[ENH] Undeclared cleanup

Hi all, this tiny goodie removes all entries without references from Undeclared. Maybe this should be called after every file in. [ENH] new String modifier: String>>asPlural

Hi Folks. Here's the preamble from my changeset: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "OK. You could say that this is a silly crusade, but I like my Squeak messages to be in proper English (at least when the language you're using is English). I was messing around with the HangMan file-in and I got a walkback that had the following title: 'Error: HangManPhrases classs are not indexable'. I just couldn't stand the extra 's' on 'class', so I created a nifty new String method called asPlural and I modified the sender of the odd string to use the new String modifier. Take it or leave it, but I think this makes auto-generated text just a little easier to read." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope you find this new String modifier useful too. SMInstaller (was re: [ANN] Seaside 2.02)

That's the main problem I'd like to solve by having install be one registered service of many that can handle packages. The design would allow the user to choose the tool he wants, and have many installers active for the same package. Did you get a dump or something? I haven't gotten around to trying out VI4, so I haven't tested the RB on it. It uses blocks, including calling fixTemps on them, since it sometimes assumes the blocks are closures. Might cause a problem that they suddenly are? When did the hand occur? during use, or during filein? Do you have a recipe that reproduces this? if you do, I'll load VI4 and check it out. J3 executable for win2k

Dear all, I would like to try out the J3 JIT compiler. Under 'Maximum Squeak' on the swiki I found the source, but was unable to build it under Win2k. Where could I find executables for win2k? Otherwise to you have any hints on how to build a J3 VM under win2k (I use cygwin, which might help?) Thanks a lot for your help, Heiko

Part of Project Zurgle This is a modified version of the previously released TwoModeButtonMorph that complies to the specification outlined in the WindowFrames paper. As such, some of the protocols and structures have changed. There are two examples: TwoModeButtonMorph example Clicking the button opens a browser window in the demo. This code expects the file 'close.bmp' to be in the current Squeak directory for the demonstration. and: TwoModeButtonMorph example1 Clicking the button opens a browser window in the demo. This code uses a renderCode block to draw the button, rather than have images associated with it. At this point, I'm thinking that I will not be releasing code to the list until I'm quite a bit further along in an attempt to keep list traffic down. Instead, I'll start gathering it and placing it on a web page, and post when I make significant changes. I post this changeset because I posted a previous version in the past. [ENH] SerialPort, remember them?

Hi: I've been playing with serial ports on my Powerbook G3 and I discovered some not so nice actions in class SerialPort. If the port is in use elsewhere, trying to open it gets a Primitive Error. I'd rather have my code get back some indication that the port didn't open, so I made some small mods to SerialPort, which are attached. Basically, primitives used during open answer nil if they fail, and the open method answers nil also. Dave _______________________________ David N.
