a new Cog linux VM is available at http://www.mirandabanda.org/files/Cog/VM/VM.r2437/ which fixes a lack of correct stack alignment in Alien callouts.
Thanks for the new VM Eliot. FYI, I did run into an issue - strangely Magma tests couldn't pass with this VM and I finally traced it down to the fact that UUID new gives me the same UUID every time..
This doesn't appear to be a problem in oscog.56, so must've regressed sometime since then.

same problem here... but looks more like a UUID plugin problem than a cog itself
