Hi all
The ones who already loaded the latest updates for Squeak 3.1 may have noticed that Genie (the new character (gesture) recognition system) is now available.
Here are a few comments about it:
-- The class AGenieIntroduction contains a little description of Genie (read the class comment). Please note that this introduction is not completely up to date (I had to change the event handling related part of Genie in order to make it compliant to the new Squeak event model. These changes are not yet reflected in this introduction).
-- I'm working on a extended introduction and on better example dictionaries. I' hope I'll be able to finish it this weekend.
-- The example dictionaries mentioned in the introduction are available at: http://www.iam.unibe.ch/~schaerli/genie/ But please note that these dictionaries are very specific to my handwriting and I really recommend to build your own ones. In addition, I'll try to create some more general example dictionaries this weekend.
-- I've just finished this version of Genie yesterday night and I wasn't able to test all the aspects of it. So, please let me know about any problems and bugs.

this introduces an undeclared symbol "statsCache"
Hi sir,
I'm very interested in Genie. But, unfortunately It's not enough for me to play with Genie that you wrote in description. Is there any helpful description with pictures about introduction of Genie?
Now, I think I've finished to file-in the Gnenie.cs successfully during 3.1a updates from public update server, because a wrokspace window named "Genie" was poped up. Then, I chose "enable genie" from help... menu item. But nothing happens. When I want to gesture on World or on Workspace or so on, just popping screen menu up or moving caret as usual. Would you help and tell me what I have to do, next?
Broken English, sorry.
