ByteSymbol (#primitivePushFalse) does not understand #coerceTo:sim:

I am trying to run the InterpreterSimulatorLSB and I am getting an error. In #addNewMethodToCache, this line of code is called: self cCoerce: primitiveFunctionPointer to: 'long' where self is the IntepreterSimulatorLSB instance and primitiveFunctionPointer is #primitivePushFalse. This results in ByteSymbol (#primitivePushFalse) does not understand #coerceTo:sim:. It looks as if it is expecting an Integer or an Array as the value of primitiveFunctionPointer. Can anyone shed some light here?

I think that many other people would be interested in this. I suggest making stage 3 here a separate project in its own right. If it is stable and works well, I could see it becoming the official Squeak VM. Also keep integration with Exupery in mind. I also recommend starting this project by changing the behaviour of ProcessorScheduler to behave in the same way as the multi-threaded VM. Currently code can assume that a lower priority process won't run while a higher priority process is busy; this assumption would no longer exist in the multi-threaded VM. New KomHttpServer, KomServices & DynamicBindings versions

Hi all, Since yesterday, I've joined Goran as a mantainer of the DynamicBindings, KomServices and KomHttpServer packages. We've also moved the KomHttpServer packages from Goran's own repository to Samir Saidani's KomHttpServer repository on SqueakSource (see http://www.squeaksource.com/KomHttpServer.html ). In this new repo you'll find new versions of DynamicBindings, KomServices and KomHttpServer that integrate various fixes and modifications by me, Goran, Philippe, Ron and others. I've already released a new version of KomServices on SqueakMap. A new version of DynamicBindings will follow as soon as Goran adds me to that package (he's at OOPSLA in Vancouver right now). A new version of KomHttpServer will land in SqueakMap after some more testing of the new package. bugs.squeak.org has a new KomHttpServer category in the Squeak packages project. All bugs posted to this category will be assigned to me. In the next days, I'll come up with a roadmap for future developments of the package. Could someone *please* explain and document the current process of getting RPMs and XO bundles into the build? Etoys has been broken for weeks now unless I installed the latest bundle manually, just because the XO bundle was not pulled into the build. We're at bundle version Etoys-63 now, the build is still at Etoys-60. I am filing in BabySRE packages one at the time from SqueakMap package loader, Filing in one class at the time works nicely. Concurrency problems/solutions (was Re: Multy-core CPUs)

Hi all, There has been a lot of discussion about concurrency, and what tends to happen is we all have ideas in our head of what we want solved and why a given solution can/can't solve it. So what I propose is, we come up with concurrency problems and then how we would solve them in the different methodologies. With code. :) Of course it is important to be specific. An example is the "million node" problem highlighted by Peter. I would need to know what this data is, where it comes from and so on so I can determine if any one node should *ever* have the graph at once. This is another challenge, it will be tempting to make assumptions about what can be done with the data. Please don't. :) You may have some reason you think the data can't be partitioned, but perhaps it can. I'm curious to see how other solutions solve the various problems out there, and before I go do a bunch of work on the Actor model I would love to see if there are any cases it really can't deal with.
