[noob] Making a PasteUpMorph morph fill its container

As a learning exercise, I'm writing an outliner in morphic (using 3.8-6665on WinXP). For some reason I am unable to make the PasteUpMorph fill the size of the containing widget and have to resize it manually. To build it, I create a SystemWindow, add a ScrollPane, and then add a PasteUpMorph. I tried setting the PasteUpMorph's hResizing to #spaceFill, but no go. I tried sending layoutChanged to everyone in the chain, but that didn't help either. Should I be using a different morph for this? As a side note, I've noticed that GeeMailMorph exhibits this same behavior.

#ensure: broken?

Hi, When I run the following code... [4 / 0] ensure: [self halt] ... I get a ZeroDivide debugger, as expected. However, the halt does not get executed when I press the "Abandon" button (although pressing "Proceed" does cause it to be executed). Interestingly, [[4 / 0] ensure: [self halt]] on: ZeroDivide do: [:e | ] does result in the halt being executed. This behavior seems to defy common sense, not to mention my understanding of Section 5.4.3.1 of the ANSI standard. When I say "make sure this happens", I'm not joking around :-) Can anyone explain this to me? Or, better yet, fix it? :-) This has been observed on Macintosh 3.7.5 and 3.8.6 VMs, as well as Windows 3.7.1. Thanks, Josh

limeted senders, implementors

Hello Folks, is there a way to limit the scope of senders or implementors in the TracingMessagesBrowser or the MessageBrowser to certain categories? When searching where in my app I send something like '+' or color: I have to wade through a lot of senders which I'm not interested in. Something I missed? Question about Squeak3.9a-6693 and MorphicSplitters

Hi Folks, I've seen there exists a new 3.9a image at http://ftp.squeak.org/3.9/Squeak3.9a-6693.zip . But I've seen no announcement of it in the list. Have I missed it? I downloaded it and found it doesn't include the MorphicSplitters stuff I published on 9/7. Will this be included in the standard release soon? Thanks, Juan Vuletich

> Is this Squeak 3.8 specific? Yes, That patch is only for Squeak3.8 (or later) because it depends on Multilingual and Locale mechanism. These mechanisms is introduced at Squeak3.8. Dictionaries broken in 3.9a

Hi - Trying out some stuff, I noticed that dd := Dictionary new. dd at: nil put: #none. will raise an error in 3.9a saying that "Dictionaries cannot meaningfully key by nil". That makes no sense. Dictionaries can perfectly contain nil keys, they always have and they always will. Could somebody please explain to me why we no longer allow a perfectly good key in dictionaries? Cheers, - Andreas

SqueakMap package error

Hi all, I'm a co-maintainer of the "Squeak/.NET Bridge" SqueakMap package and when I try to access this package from my web-based SqueakMap account I get the following error from the web server: Error returned by server: This account has no package with id f4f46616-3def-4f6c-b574-7b04d78dca28 Any ideas what I should do?
