[Test][Squeak5.2rc1][Bug] Loading Refactoring message

Hello I downloaded the Squeak5.2rc1. Loading of the refactoring tools should be easy and smooth. However I get the attached error message. Things like this should be fixed before a release. Regards Hannes

Although it has evolved and is not quite the same thing, OpenQwaq is the current incarnation of OpenCobalt/Croquet. I think that it is still maintained, but I guess that I don't really know that - just that it is still available.

DelayIdleScheduler experiment

Cross posting since at this level systems are still very similar. I've sometimes wondered about how the idle process relinquishing the CPU interacted with delay scheduling, since they operate at the extreme opposite ends of process priorities. Historically there was... ProcessorScheduler class >> idleProcess [ "A default background process which is invisible." [true] whileTrue: [self relinquishProcessorForMicroseconds: 1000] which had the following performance this for later comparison... I'm not sure of the exact mechanism in the VM but this looks related... Would a PositionableStream>>#peek: be reasonable?

I have a ReadStream I would like to peek at the next few characters instead of only the very next character. Here's a simple 1-minute implementation proposal, but since it seems strange this was never added before, I wanted to check my sanity with the brilliant developer folk, here. Squeak 5.2 release on 13th Oct?

Hi all (especially Edgar), As you may know, the next Squeak e.V. meeting is next Saturday (13th Oct) and I'd like to suggest that we release Squeak 5.2 that day. I've had a chat with Patrick who is putting together the release notes and it looks like we could produce a first release candidate as soon as tomorrow (8th Oct) or the day after. That will give us a few days for testing and high priority bug fixes. Also, I would generate a new OpenSmalltalkVM release if Eliot does not object. Please let me know if you have any concerns. Otherwise, I'd update the VMs one more time and generate an RC1 from trunk as soon as the release notes are ready. Best, Fabio

Hello The command shell installation into Squeak 5.2a through SqueakMap gives the following error message Preferences class>>#setWindowColorFor:to: has been deprecated. Configure UI themes directly. Select Proceed to continue, or close this window to cancel the operation. --Hannes

Hello Though CommandShell is listed as 'safely available package' for Squeak 5.2 a dialog box pops up when I want to install it into Squeak5.2beta See screen shot. How can this be fixed? Regards Hannes
