hi all, can i overwrite the behaviour of <= operator for a squeak class? It seems I fail in doing it... thanks, nelson

Hi all, Just a quick reminder that it'll be happening in Brussel/Bruxelles/Brussels in two weeks - a Smalltalk Party hosted by the Free University's Programming Technology Lab. CCodeGenerator and licences issue

Hi, I guess that CCodeGenerator is in Squeak-L and since I would like to use CCodeGenerator, I'm wondering if the C code produced by CCodeGenerator inherits from the CCodeGenerator licence or not ? Thanks ! Samir

There were some unpleasant scenes at a standards body a couple of years ago when invited experts were given votes on a working group and forced through a major change to a standard. - Peter

Everybody who's been invited to vote, needs to do so in the next 24 hours. The election ends Thursday Feburary 23rd 2006 midnight UTC. Total authorized voters: 343 Actual votes cast so far: 125 If you haven't already, please read the candidate statements found on http://people.squeakfoundation.org/article/53.html You can also take a look at the recent "Candidate statements" thread on squeak-dev. A handful of people have asked that I re-send their invitation to vote. If anyone else can't find their invitation, let me know *soon* - I'd hate for anyone not to get to vote for that reason. Porting porting porting....

Hi all, my work of porting a piece of code is going on.. Now I have a bunch of classes of this sort: FooObject (the original class) FooObjectSqueak (the class that contains the squeak implementation and that derives from FooObject) Now I have a sort of design question. I have some examples and I want not to change them. So I want to be able to switch from one implementation to the other. How can I rewrite my classes so that I can call FooObject but really execute FooObjectSqueak code? Ii think I will have a sort of wrapper class, but I don't know how to switch from one implementation to the other as cleanly as possible... any advice? thanks a lot, nelson
