[SM] New category for translation files

Hi all! Added a new category for translation files. Had missed it before. http://map1.squeakfoundation.org/sm/category/0feb6726-3d37-4c6c-ade7-ec7 f24130a07 Just so people know - '.tra', '.tra.gz', '.translation' or '.translation.gz' are installable by SM. And categorizing them with the above new category is "nice" - but not needed for them to install properly. regards, Göran PS. All categories on SM has an optional URL - if anyone wants a category to point to a specific URL, like say a Swiki page - let me know and I will fill it in. The URL should point somewhere where more explanation on the category is to be found. [BUG] (m17n) fontArray out of bounds

Selecting the class FileOutFormatTest in a browser give a error. I think it has something to do with Japanese characters. Karl

And it sure looked like clickstate was calling itself recursively with a second mouse up. Checking eventstats showed that mouseups were exceding mouse downs when DoubleClickExample was doodled and not very much otherwise. I've isolated the duplicated mouse down caused by the recursive call to handleEvent:. I've won my first bet. My second is that this is a significant bug explaining many other symptoms. Attached is a changeset with the subclass to collect the history and clickstates. The above example is taken from a fresh image with just your changes added (and the look tools of course.) The tools don't depend on specific methods in MouseClickState. So the can be added to before or after your most recent fixes. I didn't have time to house train them completely. I was more interested in getting the debugging info. To turn them off completely revert the method that subsitutes the subclass for MouseClickState. Second attempt at ClickTestTools. This is a first pass at tools to examine MouseClickState. I made a nosy subclass of MouseClickState which copys the events as they are sent to a history collection. The state's objects themselves are preserved in a classVar ordered collection with the idea of them being explored and reset. Other than that I modified Double Cllick Example to implement the timeout selector. It cycles trough several border sizes. And created sub instances to test varioius combinations of selectors since the behavior of clickstate differs depending on their presence or not. HandMorph class was modified to give access to the eventStats that handleEvent stores. HandMorph was modified to use and preserve my clickstate subclass. "! The Ivar source refers to a hand object. noticeMouseOver: is a selector only for MouseEvent not for hand objects. It avoided detection because it is never sent. wheel/scroll mouse logic

In making changes to sq.h I discovered that I had made a change for the scroll mouse logic which impacts some changes we want to make for multiple windows, but I not sure anyone is using this feature. On os-x if you are using a wheel mouse I generate a mouse move event and pass up the axis direction and number of movements in the reserved fields, followed by the key-down/key char/key-up events for each simulated arrow key. I believe other platforms just provide the key stroke data and do not pass up the raw wheel mouse data. As mentioned earlier this data is provided in the two reserved (undocumented) fields of the mouse event from EventSensor. In looking at what is happening in the image, I can't see anyone actually using this data at this time. Because of changes we're making I'm going to be dropping this information, since it's not duplicated on other platforms, this is an easier choice than adding another field to the event logic to support the windowIndex information. Hi SM has been a success story so far. Just this morning I threw up a package loader after a long pause using Squeak and I could instantly load one of the 400 existing packages. This would have been unthinkable three years ago. Congratulations Göran and the others who helped to put this in place. As for centralization / decentralisation: SM is basically a catalogue and having just one instead of several is surely a great advantage. Especially if we currently still deal with a few hundered packages and two hundred developers (which is encouraging though). The packages themselves are in various places (though cached in SM AFAIK) and they have a unique ID. So it is possible to create build scripts with repeatable results which is really necessary for working in an environement like Squeak which is in constant flux. And SM supports different source managment systems. Currently there are 5 package formats http://map1.squeakfoundation.org/sm/category/93f6630c-58a6-42c5-9eb0-a43017… SM is a catalogue with 200 people maintaing the entries - from a organizsational viewpoint this is far from beeing a centralized solution. [BUG] SimpleHierarchicalListMorph does not understand #getCurrentSelectionIndex

I really liked the keyboard support that someone added to hierarchy lists. Unfortunately, it appears to be broken with a recent set of updates. Smalltalk explore press the down arrow key, boom! Also, when it was working, the left-arrow should was redundant with the up arrow. One thing I *do* like about eclipse is, when navigating it's enormous hierarchies via keyboard, you can use the left-arrow to go to the parent of the currently selected node. Left again closes it. [Q][BUG] Pressing enter or CR in file list "search panel" don't work

If you type something like *gif in "search panel" of file list and then press enter or cr don't work. Now you should press comand-s (on Mac) . Is a bug or I should change some preference ? Someone could confirm ? Edgar
