I think I remember that someone was working on a packager, but I don't remember who, or whatever happened to it, or if it is available and I've missed it.
(A packager takes some set of classes you know you want, another list of those you know you don't want, and writes an image without the unwanted classes and whatever else can be determined isn't needed.)
There are methods in class Smalltalk that greatly assist in this process, and an example where the image is stripped down to almost nothing for use on tiny machines. I've hacked together code that writes a standalone image less development tools and some other stuff, but including morphic, for one application. It works fine but is purely a hack.
What I am looking for is a general tool to do the packaging, to which I 'merely' pass the lists of classes. Anyone working on one?
Thanks,
Dave
