Hi guys
I'm starting to clean and change the image to remove a bit more of bad code but I have terrible time. I would like to have mc in the basic image so that we can manage the in basic image packages with MC. So I know that some of you are against having mc in the basic image but right now there is no other solution except abandoning the idea of packages. For example, the maintainers of the package (such as SUnit) have terrible time to maintain that since people are sending cs in the update stream but the package are not updated. If someone has not only a great idea but code it then it is the time to send the code else there is no use to really talk. :(
Now I would like to know if this would be possible to mark mc package for specific version of Squeak. I think that this is really really really important. So that we can for example manage SUnit via Squeaksource publish directly to it and know ok this mc pakage is only for 3.9.

I'm not - in fact I was trying to get around to a mail suggesting that MC should be included in Basic. Since Basic is the de facto developer's image (at least until we get to a stage where a real kernel exists that can be built into configurations easily and reliably and by anyone) it seems that it should have the important tools already installed and ready to go.
I claim that MC is important enough that it should be considered a basic tool as much as the file content browser, the protocol browser etc.

:) 100% agree. Because now we are in limbo to manage changes related to these packages.
