Hi,
I attempted to install SqueakMap in a freshly created 3.2.1 image. I created the 3.2.1 image by:
1. Downloading Squeak 3.2-4956.zip from: ftp://st.cs.uiuc.edu/pub/Smalltalk/Squeak/3.2/ 2. Performing 'update code from server' 3. Selecting 'advance to 3.2.1' when prompted 4. Save image to 'Squeak 3.2.1-4957' after update. 5. Close image. 6. Reopen image 5. Execute: ChangeSorter newChangesFromStream: (('http://map2.squeakfoundation.org/sm/packagebyname/squeakmap/downloadurl' asUrl retrieveContents content) asUrl retrieveContents content unzipped readStream) named: 'SqueakMap'. 6. The attached screenshot shows the error message: 'SqueakMap can only be installed in 3.2.1 or 3.4 alpha (update 5104 or later). Please load updates to your image to reach one of those versions and try again! I will now halt this filein so you can abort it. (3.2.1 is the maintenance branch of 3.2 so there is no real point in staying at 3.2)Windows XP boxJim Benson

Well, if you read closely it does say "update 5104 or later" which 4957 isn't. You simply need to load updates again after getting your 3.2.1 mark so that you get up past 5103.

Göran,
Sorry, I misread the page on minnow. It said, "simply make sure you have a new 3.2.1 image ". I assumed incorrectly that I had to have a new 3.2.1 image, and that the warning: "can only be installed in 3.2.1 or 3.4 alpha (update 5104 or later)." implied that update 5104 needed to be applied to 3.4 alpha, not a new 3.2.1 image.
my mistake,
Jim

Aha. I will update that.

No, that was a reasonable interpretation! :-) I have changed that text now to be more explicit (not released yet).

Hi. I used a framework called Castor in java. This framework takes an schema file (similar than a DTD) and generates classes to read the related xml. Is there something similar in Squeak? C.U.

I did some work on something like that, quite a while ago - what I have is available from http://beta4.com/squeak/aubergines/source/XMLCoder.st .
However:
- there's no documentation - it uses an old version of YAXO and will take some work to update - I never finished it
So, feel free to poke around (it had some cool ideas), but I doubt it'll be immediately useful to you. The methods in XMLTestBoth will give some idea of how it's used.
