Hi all,
The ttf package in SqueakMap is not loading. I tried to install some TTF, some of it was for devanagiri(indian) languages and i got all garbage, even Arial Black was not good. As I have to work in local scripts i need help to get good output.
Thanks, shalabh.

I began to write an answer to this mail. Its first sentence was "Currently we do not have Support for Devanagari". Than I continued to write about fonts and Unicode and Squeak. I added some screenshots and finally I had a 180 K message - to much for a mailing list. Please download my aswer from here: http://www.bgaertner.gmxhome.de/devanagari.html At this page, you find a short message and a zip-file with my message. The size of that zip-file is 183 KBytes. After download, you should unpack it into a new directory and open the page devanagari.html Do not hesitate to send me a mail when you have problems to access this internet page - I will send you the file off list.
My message in short: Support for Devanagari is doable, but not very quickly and only with some support from a person that can explain the rules of that script.
Greetings, Boris

This is great. I'll look at what I can do...
