The reason for having a proxy instead of direct bindings to the
interpreter
is mainly to allow for evolution of the interpreter without
breaking what
plugins rely on.
Isn't it kind of funny that we are building an ad-hoc (I am guessing, correct me if it's not) runtime system with rudimentary reflection capability?
