I've read varying accounts of Palladium and I'm no longer convinced of the sanity of M$ management. To me it really does look like they're desperate for cash cows.
There have been rumors of "creative bookkeeping" at Microsoft for years. Microsoft has already settled one complaint brought by the SEC (without admitting any wrongdoing, of course, i.e. "We didn't do nuttin'...an' we promise we won't never do it again"). I suspect there are other irregularities in their books. I look forward to a full and complete accounting of their finances.
