Hi all,
please check out the next iteration of Squeakland and the plugin at http:///www.squeakalpha.org
Please let me know which browser and OS version you are using, if it worked (or not) and any other errors you might get on the site.
I have mixed reports from the Mac front which I can't figure out yet, so the more test cases I have, the better.
The Unix version is not up to speed yet.
Thanks
Michael

Yes, sorry 'bout that. I have it *almost* working - I just need one or two evenings to sort it out. Unfortunately, I can't spare these for another two weeks. So stay tuned!

PS: The almost working sources are here (based on Ian's 3.2-2, not -3): http://isgwww.cs.uni-magdeburg.de/~bert/squeak/plugin/npsqueak322tmp.tar.gz I sent a description of the problem to Michael, just in case someone can't live without fixing it on his own ;-)
Hi, Michael!
Looks like an extra slash got in there. Try http://www.squeakalpha.org.
All the best! Gary

The "binaries for Linux" link on http://squeakalpha.org/plugin/installers/ux.html does not work.

On attempting to use the site with stuff from Bert Freudenberg's page (http://isgwww.cs.uni-magdeburg.de/%7Ebert/squeak/plugin/download.html) with Mozilla 1.0.0 and Galeon on Linux I get nothing more than 'Unsupported loader format.' I've installed everything in my home directory under .mozilla and 'About Plugins' shows:
File name: /home/ken/.mozilla/plugins/npsqueak.so Squeak is a modern open source Smalltalk environment. The Squeak Plugin handles Squeaklets.
The Squeak Plugin for Unix was developed by Bert Freudenberg, it uses the Squeak VM developed by Ian Piumarta and many others.

Hi,
I went on and played with it a little.
Using MS Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 2 and MS Internet Explorer 6.0.2600.0000, the Plugin loaded fine, and it works perfectly on every essay and eToy except one: "eToys and Simstories in Squeak" by Alan Kay. I am attaching a .jpg cature of the error I get.
I tried using Opera 6.01 under the same OS, the "download page" was smart enough to detect it and warm me that this browser was unsupported. I went ahead and copy the .dll files to the apropiate plugin folder, and then when I try an eToy or essay I get an "Unsupported loader format" error.
Hope it helps,
regards,
Martín
