http://swiki.krampe.se/gjallar/96 might be a good place? It's mentioned on the front page as part of "2009-03-05: An unplanned but quite nice release: Gefjon release 0.5!"

Gjallar has not had any activity for quite some time - but... the fact that some of the resources are not reachable at the moment is due to two factors:
- The domain gjallar.se is a bit... hosed right now. - I am currently gradually moving services from my old virtual server at Unixshell.com to a new server at Dediserve.com.
These two things combined have probably made a lot of Gjallar related stuff inaccessible.
But nothing has "changed" - and if there is interest in Gjallar I gladly help out. Just ask.
regards, Göran
Hi Göran, I have been wanting to check out Gjaller for a long time -- I never thought there would be any danger of the files becoming (gasp).. inaccessible. My impression of Gjaller is as a "signature" Squeak application. Now I feel urgency to obtain a copy of the code so that it isn't lost into oblivion.
When you get your services moved will you consider putting the Gjaller stuff back up too?

Mmm, let me fix it... now, the website is at least here:
http://swiki.krampe.se/gjallar
...but the downloads are not there., they are instead here:
http://padme.krampe.se/gjallar/
(so all URLs referring mc.gjallar.se should go there instead)

Thanks a lot Göran. Would you mind if I or someone made it accessible via SqueakSource and a load-script on SqueakMap? Just to improve its accessibility.
- Chris
PS - That's a pretty nice upload output you have there.

Well... I actually don't really think SqueakMap fits - the server part has external dependencies etc, so it is quite hard to "package".
But what I should do is create a repo on SS for all the Squeak code of course, I will do that ASAP.
There has been some interest in Gjallar lately (for some odd reason!) and I do intend to:
1. Write up a description of what is there and what is good and bad. 2. Write an "ideal todo" if I had infinite time and money to bring it to the next step.
...and possibly also start cleaning out some bits. Will see.

From padme.krampe.se? It is a new virtual server at Dediserve in Texas, got a good deal for it :)
regards, Göran
Goran, Gjallar has impressive feature list. What went wrong with this project?
From the development POV, it would be nice to have architectural
description, a guide, warnings, suggested directions for improvement. Vaidas

Well, it ended up a bit over ambitious and over engineered in parts. Not all of it - but parts. And there was a reason at the time for that ambition, but since the primary customer decided to go in another direction the project was left at version 0.5 with too little muscle to pull off the "ambition level".
It was in deployment at a small customer for almost a year, and while it did not at all have any substantial amounts of issues to handle, it was used "daily" for that time.
From the development POV, it would be nice to have architectural description, a guide, warnings, suggested directions for improvement. Vaidas
Yeah, I intend to write this down. Just not right now, perhaps tonight after badminton! :)
