Ale,
is this comparable to the SLL's from Visual Smalltalk? Are you using VW 3.0 yet? We denied the "offer" to upgrade.

So I definitely see modular images as really necessary, but I still don't know how to implement them. If anyone has any hint...
Parcels in VisualWorks (new version, Siena) is a good implementation of building packages of classes, methods and objects in a file that can be bound to the image dynamically. They are fully implemented in Smalltalk and is a recommended reading.

Reinier,
Sorry for late response.

I'm not familiar with either version of VS so I can't tell if the thing I want to do is similar to SLL's. I was 'born' in VisualAge. In VA 4.0 and newer, they have a similar concept of "image components" but I don't much like their design and would never suggest Squeak to do the same thing.
