Boris could check if your fix is still necessary with the changes that tim did recently? And resubmit a new fix if necessary this would be good to clean this.
Well, Tims work (posted at Dec 16, 2003) fixes other problems. My fix is still needed. Today I tested it on Squeak 3.7 alpha 5623 with Tims change set SnapshotSavingCleanupPostCP110 (posted at Dec 16, 2003) loaded.
It works.

This bug report is for Squeak 3.7alfa, latest update: #5566
from the preamble:
Smalltalk condenseSources runs into an error that is caused by the fact, that the SourceFileVersionString is stored at two places - in SystemDictionary and in SmalltalkImage. When we get a new file name from the prompter, we have to update the string in both classes. This is added in SystemDictionary>>condenseSources.
Thanks Boris, I will have a look and approved soon.

Fixing condenseSources is an important enough fix for 3.7gamma, and this fix is reasonably simple. I cleaned up/merged the older changeset for 3.7gamma.
