one more set of fixes for the dnd stuff. I wonder why noybody encountered the drag selector bug in the browser.

Shouldn't it go to the 2.8 release? If so, a hint for sma or whoever would be helpful.

Yes, you're right. I sort of assumed that fixes always should go into both update streams.
