The only problem I see with it (in Konqueror) is that the screen is bigger than what is being displayed.
The lack of a desktop menu and debug halos is just because someone turned on the eToyFriendly preference. If you turn it off, you can see those again.
I can't see any flaps because the size is limited.
When I changed the size to 800x600 I could see the flaps.
And when I changed the preferences eToyFriendly and eToyLoginEnabled it worked much better.
Doug;
It appears from your message header that you're running Windows (as am I at the moment). Sadly, the folks who produce that product have failed to keep up with the rest of the world in browser technology; if you're running one of theirs, it may be unable to handle the Squeak plugin. Check the list of supported browsers at http://www.squeakland.org/supported.html and consider updating to one of those listed if your current internet browser isn't shown.

Check out what you get when you go to http://www.squeakland.org/project.jsp (e.g., "view source") - Microsoft removed support for NS-style plugins in IE a while ago and my guess is that the page simply hasn't been updated since.
