Hi list, I plugged in my laptop to an external display and the resolution dropped sharply... and Squeak crashed. It emitted this debug log moments before dying. I'm not sure they're related, but it is interesting.

Installing Maui gives error

Hello, I tried to install Maui, through the SqueakMap Catalog as described in the wiki. I got an error saying: Please Confirm Error occurred during install: No package release found with version 8 Would you like to open a debugger? Through the debugger, i found the message installPackageNamed was called with: installPackageNamed: 'Plot Morph' version: 8 Any idea where I can find this package? You get a black rectangle or wrong colors. This change converts the form to the same depth as the display so it will display correctly. Technically by converting the form to display depth you are changing what you are inspecting so I'm not sure if this is the correct thing to do. That depends on what the intentions of the pixels selection in the inspector has. Older VM's won't start the latest beta images

Hi, I wonder what’s changed that the images starting from Squeak6.0beta-21772-64bit on won’t start with the previous release VM (squeak.cog.spur_win64x64_202003021730) or even with pre-release new VMs (e.g. version 3154). I’m on Win10, the process explorer (windows) shortly runs WerFault.exe and than the Squeak process is closed/disappears. Thanks, -- Jaromír Matas mail(a)jaromir.net

Backing a Form with e.g. mmap() or shm

Does anyone know whether it's possible to create a Form backed by an out-of-line (e.g. mmaped) Bitmap-like object? Tony
