Hi, -] I suppose the username/password for Squeakmap and Mantis are the same, is it so ? -] I would like to make a Squeakmap package for STON but I have issues logging into Squeakmap. I made a user, username "NMI", but I never received the confirmation email. All attempts I made to re-login or rewrite the password failed. I guess something is wrong. bye Nicola

Service Browser for 5.3 release

If somebody that knows what the Services Browser is for, what it does, how to use it etc could add some Help Browser pages relating to it, I suspect it might become more useful. It seems to be a sort-of Preferences tool but even fewer of the entries have helpful help messages to provide any clues about what the intent is. How would we use the keyboard shortcuts? Monticello Bug? Preamble of removal is executed too late

Hi all, I found a possible bug in Monticello scripts. Let me try to describe the issue: Steps to reproduce 1. In Monticello Browser, create a new package named #Foo 2. In the System Browser, create a new class named #FooClass in the system category #Foo 3. On its class side, add a method named #bar - just declare it. 4. In Monticello Browser, edit the preambleOfRemoval for our #Foo Package and set it to: FooClass bar 5. Save a version of our #Foo package 6. Still in Monticello Browser, unload the foo package via context menu. Expected behavior The package is unloaded without any errors. If Foo class >> bar has a real implementation, it will have run when the package is removed. Actual behavior In MCRemovalPreambleDefinition >> #evaluate: UndefinedObject does not understand #bar. Reason In MCPackageLoader >> #analyze, the MCDependencySorter for removals does not return the removal preamble definition as the last item, but the class definition of FooClass. This happens somewhere in #addExternalProvisions:, because FooClass depends on Object and thus is moved to the end (?). Questions Am I right that this is a bug? I think we really want to execute the removal preamble *before* unloading any code definitions? How could one solve this issue? Is it necessary to treat preambles/postambles separated so that they can't be messed up by dependencies? Or would know an easier way? I'm not familiar at all with this domain, so if we want a fast solution, maybe someone others could have a look at it. Otherwise, I'd be happy to hear your opinions. Best, Christoph

Faster fibonacci

I've been involved in a long and sometimes weird discussion on the RaspberryPi forums about fibonacci implementations in different languages and using assorted algorithms. I'd never really thought about alternatives to recursive approaches before but it turns out there is massively faster way. ServerDirectory example login is dead

If one tries to add a remote directory to a FileList the example server details lists the no longer extant st.cs.uiuc.edu, which is a little disappointing. Do we have a good replacement? Preferably a good place on our own server(s)? I did actually try files.squeak.org but that a) failed b) exposed me to the great joy of a loop of unhandled error handling handling errors in erroneous handling. Minor Bugs in PreferenceWizardMorph

Hi all, as requested, I did some testing with the PreferenceWizardMorph. I did not find any critical bugs, and it really looks stylish, but there are some minor defects I wanted to share with you: Preferences section: * Page 2: Toggling "simple edit indication" does not change the appearance of browser's code pane before you type again into it. (Maybe the preference should redraw the full world or so?) * Page 3: Toggling "bigger fonts" does not affect the appearance of the PWM (PreferenceWizardMorph) itself. (Maybe it should implement #applyUserInterfaceTheme?) * In general: If you open another window (e. g. via halo) and close it, the "welcome help browser" is displayed focused, but it does not accept any inputs. Instead, the PWM should be displayed in foreground. (I think the problem is that SystemWindow class >> #noteTopWindowIn: only works with SystemWindows. I face similar problems with the WindowAcrobatics exposé. This implementation looks not very nice at all, it hard-codes the edge case of project windows ... Maybe we should move this responsibility to RealEstateAgent after the 5.3 release?) Installation section: * Maybe the contents should be centered vertically?
