Error saving to SqueakSource

I am now ready to publish BabyIDE for DCI on Squeak 4.5. I'm not sure which repository to use, but am trying SqueakSource. I have managed to become a member of SqueakSource. I have created a new project called DCI. I probably set a password somewhere without understanding what it meant. I add an HTTP repository to the Monticello browser: MCHttpRepository location: 'http://www.squeaksource.com/DCI' user: 'squeak' password: 'squeak' I have a package, BabyIDE, and save it to this repository. The save does not succeed. weird image state

Hi All, my image has got into that weird state where clicking on a window not at the front causes slow redraws of the restacked windows, I suspect because the execution simulator (a.k.a. the debugger) is running the drawing code. If anyone recognises this state do they also know how to get out of it? -- best, Eliot

So we must shift the significand left until the highest bit pass left of the floating point : for example 0.001b...b ==> 1.b...b000 adjust the exponent (which is -126) by same number of shift (-129 in this example since there are 3 shifts) then remove the leading bit left of floating point - it is already taken into account as the implied 1 now that we do not underflow. =============================================

Problems Running Squeak On FreeBSD 10.1

I recently installed FreeBSD 10.1 (Intel i386) on an external hard drive, using Mate as the desktop and Slim as the login manager. I am having problems in getting Squeak to run on that system. I used: pkg install squeak and the version that's installed is squeak-4.10.2_2 Running as root, I get the following messages: CHECKING cogvm CHECKING squeakvm Illegal instruction (core dumped) The result is a 1 GB file named squeakvm.core in the root directory. If I remove it and re-install it through as a port, I get the same messages with squeakvm.core now located in: /usr/ports/lang/squeak/work/state/usr/local/lib/squeak/4.10.2-2614/ Squeak itself, without an image specified in the command line, appears to run, so it seems that the installation has problems in reading images. Earlier, I tried different images and desktops, with the same result. By comparison, I installed it on an internal drive on the same machine several months ago. I was using FreeBSD 10.0, Gnome 2 as the desktop, and GDM as the login manager. I had no problems in running Squeak with that configuration, though I believe the version is squeak-4.10.2. I've made inquiries on the FreeBSD ports mailing list and in the FreeBSD forum, but no solution so far. Did I miss something or do something wrong? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

FloatConstants?

I wish to access some of the Float constants without a message send. Would anyone mind if I moved the class-vars defined in Float into a new Pool called "FloatConstants", so I may import them and write myFloat == NaN?
