This test is failing in Trunk. A possibile fix is adding: ReadWriteStream>>on: aCollection super on: aCollection. readLimit := aCollection size. Yes - when working on two classes ... you typically open two windows, then three, then more. Thats the problem - anytime a new browser. I like how Eclipse organizes this with "panes" instead of windows. While I dislike that I have to scroll through Java files I like the way perspectives and views are organized. To get the store string for a Block apparently send it #decompile .

Ricardo Moran, Thanks. Indeed, #decompile does what storeString should do for Block closures. At least for simple cases. Just what I was looking for. The hanging question is why can't #storeString do that? --Jerome Peace

Hi, as some of you already noticed, I uploaded some changes that avoid registering Doits into MethodDictioanries. With these changes we can get rid of #isDoIt checks and simplify a few methods. If there will be no objections within a few days, I'll push these changes to the Trunk. Cheers, Levente

Hi all (and particularly Dave) Discussing Mantis reports on the list would be easier if the list was a Mantis user. As a fearless bug tracker I prefer to work on bugs through Mantis. Its properties of persistence and focus allow me to start with a complaint and work my way to an elegant solution. To get attention for reports and assistances from other they need to know the reports are there. So writing mantis means also writing the list separately. Separately means outside of mantis opening up my mail sender and writing a new message. Mantis is capable of notifying any Mantis user about its reports via mail. That can't be used in the case of squeak-dev only because squeak-dev isn't registered as a mantis user. Some caution would need to be taken that the list doesn't follow every issue or it will be swamped. Or not, considering the general communities reluctance to use the tool. Mantis fixes bugs and documents the fixes. There is value in that. Yours in curiosity and service, --Jerome Peace

How would I save a package to a local directory repo without the MC GUI? I tried to dig into the GUI code, but it doesn't seem to be cleanly separated from the model. MCWorkingCopyBrowser>>saveVersion has a lot of logic in it. I also looked at PackageInfo & PackageOrganizer, but didn't see anything relevant. Thanks. Hi Jerome, could you change the method comments to something more generic like "Answer a number equivalent to the receiver that is not a fraction"? Rationale: If this method was for the sole benefit of copyBits as stated in the comment, it should not live in the Kernel package, but but be an extension method of the Graphics package.
