Hi I wrote a small skript that intitalizes a new image with my preferences. Among other things I would like to customize the user menu. So how can I change the Preferences>>#personalizeUserMenu: method from within my skript? Martin

Hello all, I'm in my very first day of Squeak and I just discovered that you don't have source files with your classes but a big one with everything in it. I come from Java/Delphi kind of world, hence my question: How do you coordinate several developers simultaneously working on the same project? users of MonticelloCVS?

Hi all, The last project I personally know of that was using MonticelloCVS (as opposed to Monticello's native versioning) has finally been migrated to the new(er) system, which leads me to wonder if there are any MonticelloCVS users left. Anyone? If so, please speak now - otherwise, I will declare it officially unsupported, and probably remove it from SqueakMap to avoid confusion. Cheers, Avi

Workspace and FileList

Hi! I just discoverd that there is an important difference between Workspace and FileList. Until recently I thought that saving a workspace to a file will associate the workspace with that file. Meaning that all successive accepts (cmd-s) will save the changed contents to that file. Ups! Wrong! Now that I know it kind of makes sense. But I do think it's a little bit confusing because other than that both morphs do exactly the same. They do, don't they? And even more they look the same except for the window label. But that's something you may easyly overlook - especially if you don't know the difference. Opinions? Martin

I have looked it over, and have run the tests on it. I had to make a small edit for the InstVarRefLocatorTest to work right. I have not had time to make proper tests for it, though. "Change Set: ReshapedBlocksInCls-3pt6-di Date: 1 October 2003 Author: Dan Ingalls Edited Date: 18 July 2004 Edited By: Ned Konz This changeSet allows projects to be loaded even if they contain active methodContexts and blocks in classes whose instance variable offsets have changed. Within reason, of course. The cases handled are addition of new instance variables, removal of instance variables that are not referred to, and juggling of the order of the variables. Cases that cannot be handled are treated pretty much as before, with a warning message citing the classes that have been reshaped to the point that their active blocks can not be set right in the receiving image. Ted K. modified one more method, to remove the warning when a project with a block is written. This version is for Squeak 3.6. A different version of this file works in Squeak 3.4 Ned Konz edited this to make the tests work.

Unstable Squeak and ZIP handling

Hi, tried downloading KomHttpServer from SqueakMap into Squeak. It just works in a 3.7/3.8alpha image but not in an updated unstable stream image (loaded updates up to 6326). 'bad signature 07000017 at position 18686' Looks like one of the changeset introduced a difference in ZIP handling. Didnt find the time to debug. Is anyone else able to reproduce this?
