Ok i've started to try and learn squeak so maybe i can help with open cobalt and such. But i'm a little lost in trying to learn it.... when following Lawson(one of the devs for the project) youtube vids i've gotten stuck on the CroquetOpenGL part, and squeak by example seems very confusing when trying to use the all-in-one package...so is there a proper guide on how to set it up so that i can start learning it? and some better book as well would be nice....

I'm not at all clear what you're asking. What image are you using? If it's an open cobalt image, you should ask on that list. If it's a Squeak image, and you have the all-in-one, then there's nothing to set up.

You're in luck there. See http://stephane.ducasse.free.fr/FreeBooks.html
