Is there a tandard way to attach context menus

Hello all, is there a standard way to attach a context menu to a morph? It's fairly easy to do by checking for yellowButtonPressed and manually firing up a MenuMorph. But it is sufficient to implement #addCustomMenuItems:hand: to get an enhanced Halo menu while #addYellowButtonMenuItemsTo:event: and #hasYellowButtonMenu don't help. Omnibrowser help

Are there some tips/documentation somewhere on getting the most out of the OmniBrowser? The MulitpleSelection browser looks interesting (sort of like the tabbed browser in VisualWorks), but I don't quite understand its behaviour and what method it decides to show in which pane when you move around or save changes. On the same topic, can anyone point me toward how I could add a new item to the class context menu in the OmniBrowser? I want to add a new template selection menu item (like "new class template" and "new trait template") because I have created a method that creates TWO classes at the same time for an Aida application (A domain model class AND its associated WebApp class). understanding selectors

Hello, I'm trying to extend the Matrix class by making it able to add and subtract matrices. So far I've implemented the following code to add: + aMatrix | newMatrix rowCount columnCount sum | rowCount := self rowCount. columnCount := self columnCount. newMatrix := Matrix rows: rowCount columns: columnCount. 1 to: rowCount do: [ :selectRow | 1 to: columnCount do: [ :selectColumn | sum := (self at: selectRow at: selectColumn) + (aMatrix at: selectRow at: selectColumn). newMatrix at: selectRow at: selectColumn put: sum.]]. ^newMatrix. Now I want to implement a method for subtracting matrices. However, I'd like to use the same code. I tried to implement an operand selector, however, it errors out. Something like this: operand: operand matrix: aMatrix | newMatrix rowCount columnCount sum | rowCount := self rowCount. columnCount := self columnCount. newMatrix := Matrix rows: rowCount columns: columnCount. 1 to: rowCount do: [ :selectRow | 1 to: columnCount do: [ :selectColumn | sum := (self at: selectRow at: selectColumn) operand (aMatrix at: selectRow at: selectColumn). newMatrix at: selectRow at: selectColumn put: sum.]]. ^newMatrix. I know this is not SmallTalk convention, but how should I pursue something like this? Thank You, Jonathan

Keyboard input - programming course

Hi all, We wish to use Squeak/Smalltalk for a beginner programming course and require the simplest way to get keyboard input. First of all:- - is there a way in Squeak to get console input (analogous to system.in, in Java)? Line input would be ideal, rather than character by character. - how would one display a text label and a text field and obtain input from the text field (am thinking of Morphic) Thank you for your assistance. selectors for an array of classes

Hello, I am trying to read the methods of several classes. I am getting a messagenotunderstood for the following code: TempObject := #(OrderedCollection Integer). TempObject do: [ :iClass | iClass selectorsDo: [ :item | item.]]. I can run a iClass name successfully. But it doesn't seem to recognize iClass selectors. Thank You! Jonathan
