It's obviously not the expected behaviour. Are you sure you've tried
the latest installer officially available? I made sure proper
directories are passed on on the last one, Squeak 4.1 rc1.

Squeak always do that when it has none, two or more images to choose
from. It's expected by all mean. However, you're correct that it
should use the default installation location. I'll test again and see
what I can do.
